I had a career I loved. And it was destroying me.

For more than a decade, I poured everything I had into teaching. I loved my students, my coworkers, my classroom, and my content. But eventually, chronic illness forced me to step away. The Joyful Bird Co. grew from that turning point. I wasn't in the classroom anymore, but I wasn't finished teaching and creating. I needed another outlet for all my ideas. Now, this is where I share the tools, lessons and creative ideas I'm using to build a life I love that loves me back. Hopefully, together, we can all build a sustainable life, inside the classroom or beyond.
